Excellence in Women's Health
Dux Femina Facti
A woman is in charge of this enterprise.
Like many small enterprises, Praeclarus Press began with an idea that was shared with colleagues over a cup of tea. We gathered in the cafe at the British Library, in the center of London, to discuss the logistics of putting together a small press that focused on women's health, to be a company by women for women. We have not strayed from that original vision.
As our vision unfolded, however, we identified other goals. We wanted to publish not only printed books, but electronic books, webinars, and fun and uplifting art. We wanted our company to be both green and socially conscious. Therefore, our business model includes using new publishing technologies to deliver our products in ways that minimize pollution and waste. We also built "giving back" into our business model, so that a portion of all of our sales go to worthy organizations that support women and children in the U.S. and abroad. We wanted to keep costs low so that the information our products provide is available to the widest possible audience. Finally, we wanted to produce great books--ones that we would want to read.
So stay tuned! 2012 promises to be an exciting year for us. We have new books currently in production, and will be adding to our webinar series and our art collections.
Webinar now available online.
